Thursday—Monday, June 22, 23 & 24, 2017 9:00am—4:00pm Tuition $350 *plus small model fee
Award winning artist, Tatiana Yanovskaya-Sink, originally from the Ukraine, is a member of the Putney Painters and has been studying with Richard Schmid and Nancy Guzik for many years.
The objective of this course is to obtain confidence at the starting point of painting and includes practicing different types of blocking-in approaches dictated by various conditions. While defining the difference among different types of block-ins, artists will be practicing repetitious, initial stages to make an effective start. This course will focus on blocking in the human head (frontal, 3/4 view, and profile), still life/floral and landscapes. Tatiana will include short demos and a slide show (last class) of how a few contemporary masters block-in. Individual attention is provided throughout the workshop and all levels are welcome.
*This is a great pre-requisite for advanced courses and workshops that require basic knowledge.
